'Dump Trump:' Macy's urged to fire Trump after anti-Obama statements

Macy’s department store is under pressure to "dump" Donald Trump after his attacks on President Barack Obama during the election campaign.

Nearly 500,000 people signed an online petition asking Macy’s to end its business partnership with the billionaire, Bloomberg Businessweek reported.

Trump has angered a number of Americans with his constant questioning of Obama's birth certificate and an election night rant on Twitter against the president.

The petition, created by Angelo Carusone at SignOn.org, claims “Donald Trump does not reflect the ‘magic of Macy's.’ We urge you to sever ties with him,” the New York Daily News explained.

Singer Cher signed the petition, calling Trump a “racist cretin," according to the News.
