He's baaaa-aaaaack.

Former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney is making his return to the political stage next month, the National Review first reported today.

The former Massachusetts governor is scheduled to speak at the high-profile Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington, DC, according to CNN.

"We look forward to hearing Governor Romney's comments on the current state of affairs in America and the world, and his perspective on the future of the conservative movement," Al Cardenas, chairman of the American Conservative Union, said in a statement.

Romney has spoken at the CPAC many times before, the Washington Post reported.

But this will be Romney's first political appearance since losing the election to President Barack Obama in November.

Since then, Romney has all but disappeared from the political scene.

He retreated to his home in La Jolla, California, where he was spotted getting gas or groceries and even taking in the latest "Twilight" movie with wife, Ann.

Romney did return to Washington last month for a lunch with supporters, and friends told the National Review he's become somewhat restless and is eager to be part of the national debate.

Also appearing at this year's CPAC: former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the National Rifle Association's Wayne LaPierre and David Keene, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and other high-profile figures.

Here is part of Romney speech there last year:
