Edwin Ernesto Rivera Gracias, a Salvadoran murder suspect on the FBI's Top Ten Most Wanted list, was arrested Wednesday.

The FBI's Denver division said that Gracias voluntarily returned to the United States to face charges. The Salvadoran authorities and the FBI's San Salvador Legal Attaché Office worked with US authorities to send an aircraft to pick him up and bring him back to Denver, Colorado, where he allegedly committed the crime.

Gracias is accused of killing 69-year-old Richard Limon in August 2011. He allegedly choked, beat and stabbed Limon and then dumped his body in the mountains outside of Denver. Limon was a long-time family acquaintance of Gracias's girlfriend.

At the time of the crime, Gracias was supposedly in the United States illegally. The FBI described him as between the ages of 29 and 33, and said he was a member of the Mara Salvatrucha, also known as the MS-13 gang. He is thought to have numerous tattoos, including one of "MS-13"across his back.

MS-13 is gang that got its start in Los Angeles 20 years ago by Salvadoran immigrants fleeing their country's civil war. Members of the gang have been linked to drug trafficking, drive-by shootings and contract killings.
