Police in California say 15-year-old Audrie Pott hung herself after the teens posted photos of her from the rape online.
Three teens have been arrested in the rape of a 15-year-old California girl who killed herself after photos of the attack were posted online.
Two of the 16-year-old boys were taken into custody at their high school in Saratoga yesterday, while the third was arrested at a high school nearby, Santa Clara County sheriff’s spokesman Kurtis Stenderup told KPIX.

Formal charges are expected next week.
The boys are accused of sexually assaulting Audrie Pott as she lay passed out at a house party after drinking too much last September.
Audrie hanged herself after learning that photos of the attack had been posted online.
"The whole school knows…. My life is ruined," she wrote on her Facebook page eight days before her death.

The case is strikingly similar to one in Steubenville, Ohio, where two star football players were convicted of rape this year for assaulting a girl who had too much to drink.
Images in that case were also posted to social media.
And earlier this month, 17-year-old Rehtaeh Parsons of Canada hung herself and died several days later following after also being raped at a party.
The superintendent of the school district Audrie attended told The Associated Press today that the district's sympathies go out to all of the families affected by this "tragic situation."
