A suicide attack in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz today killed at least 16 people, 11 of them policemen, according to BBC News, citing local officials.
The death toll may rise, said Agence-France Press, adding that a local doctor was reported among the dead.

Afghanistan's Khaama Press said the attack was a car bombing. No group has taken responsibility for the violence.
The incident took place at a demonstration supporting a warlord that had a heavy police presence, BBC cited Kunduz deputy police chief as saying.
Last month, 12 people were killed in militant-led attacks in Kunduz province, according to BBC.
