Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou has called for the people's vote over the cost-cutting bailout plan, leaving the country's future in the euro zone at risk according to the Wall Street Journal.
Technically, the Greek constitution only allows the president to issue a referendum, and only on non-financial matters, as GlobalPost's Michael Goldfarb has written. But that hasn't stopped the prime minister from announcing the referendum. Nor has it stopped many from speculating what exactly the referendum will ask, and what impact it will have on Greece.
