Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney wrapped up his week-long overseas trip on Tuesday praising Poland's economy as a model for small government and free enterprise, the Associated Press reported.

In Warsaw, Romney said "rather than heeding the false promise" of big government, Poland was an innovator that was attracting business and was living within its means, said the AP.

The remarks were meant to be a veiled reference to the US' own troubled economy and a criticism of President Barack Obama's economic plan. They come as Romney faces widespread criticism for a number of gaffes and poorly received comments in Israel and at the London Olympics.

Meanwhile, CNN reported Romney's traveling press secretary Rick Gorka "lost his cool and cursed at reporters" who attempted to ask Romney questions near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw.

After Romney paid his respects and was walking back to his car after the event, reporters shouted questions to the candidate.

"We haven't had another chance to ask a question" said one New York Times reporter, to which Gorka replied "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect. Gorka then told a reporter to "shove it" but later apologized.

According to CNN, Romney has only answered three questions from reporters during the overseas trip, though he has done a number of sit-down interviews with the major networks.
