A bus carrying US punk metal band Baroness pitched over a viaduct and fell 30 feet today amid heavy weather conditions in England today, seriously injuring several people, BBC News cited local officials as saying.

Two of the nine passengers on board suffered fractures and the other seven have also been hospitalized for minor injuries, officials said, according to BBC. None of the injuries were fatal.

The accident took place near England's southwestern city of Bath as the band was on their way to Southampton to play with the Talking Heads at a concert scheduled for tonight, said BBC.

That performance is clearly not happening -- and the rest of the band's European tour has been put on hold, band managers said, according to The Guardian.

Members of the heavy metal band, which formed in 2003, probably want to go back home to their hometown of Savannah, Georgia, and recover from the horrific incident.

Witnesses said they heard the crash as the bus plunged over a cliff's safety barrier during a massive downpour, landing upright in the ravine below but trapping the driver outside the front of the bus, reported BBC. Rescuers had to cut him and another person free, said The Guardian. One person was trapped for an hour.

Local police said they are investigating the cause of the crash, according to Britain's Mirror

Site manager Tony Cook, one of the first people to reach the scene of the accident, said it was still unclear what had happened.

"Whether the brakes went at the bottom or, what the driver said to one of my blokes, was that the steering went, he couldn't get around the coroner, so whether the hydraulics or something went, I don't know," Cook said, according to The Mirror

Baroness was on European tour to promote their latest third album "Yellow & Green," said The Guardian. Watch a music video from the new release here:
