Prince Harry will speak with American troops and victims of Hurricane Sandy.
St James's Palace said Monday the visit is to support his charity work around rehabilitating injured American and UK troops, as well as, an official trip in his capacity as a member of the royal family.
"[He] wants to highlight once again the extraordinary commitment and sacrifice of our injured servicemen and women - our wounded warriors," said the prince's private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton. "Although a prince, Harry is also an operational soldier - indeed he's a soldier's soldier."
He arrives May 9 and will be in the US for about a week.
During that time, Harry will go to Washington, DC, where he will visit Arlington National Cemetery and meet wounded soldiers at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, ABC News reported.
No word yet if he will be making a return trip to Las Vegas.
