Deadly clashes reported between Iran's elite military unit and Kurdish militants.
Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency today said four members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards have been killed in an attack by Kurdish rebels.
Iran last year launched an ongoing military campaign against the rebels, according to Reuters.

The last instance of similar violence between the two sides took place in September, reported FOX News.
The PKK has been waging a guerilla war with Turkey for decades.
Tehran has raised concerns that the leader of Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region, Massoud Barzani, is giving the rebels support, according to FOX News, allegations that AFP said came up in during Barzani's visit to Turkey last week.
Iran, along with the United States and others, considers the PKK a terrorist organization.
