ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Voyage cancellations of a Celebrity Cruises ship in Alaska have caused a lot of anger and frustration among would-be passengers.
Many, like Phyllis McNamara of Indianapolis, had just arrived in Alaska this week when they learned their voyage was cancelled because of mechanical problems with one of its two propulsion motors.
McNamara says her fourth vacation in her 68 years turned out to be a disappointing bust.
The cruise is among six Alaska sailings on the 965-fooot Millennium that have been cancelled.
Some passengers say they are trying to make the best of a bad situation by tweaking their itineraries.
Royal Caribbean cruises Ltd., which owns Celebrity Cruises, says passengers will get a full refund of the cruise fare paid. They also will receive certificates for a future cruises.
