LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, have reconciled and are no longer planning to divorce, the couple said in separate posts on social media sites. Bryant, widely considered one of the greatest players ever in the National Basketball Association, and his wife filed for divorce in December 2011 after 10 years of marriage.

Grand prix circuit for disabled athletes planned
LONDON (Reuters) - An international grand prix circuit for elite athletes with disabilities will be launched in April by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), according to a report in The Independent on Sunday. The newspaper said the IPC's version of the able-bodied Diamond League will comprise eight meetings at venues around the world with two, including the final, to be held in Britain.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - With Kevin Durant in cruise control, the Oklahoma City Thunder overpowered the injury-hit Los Angeles Lakers in a 116-101 win on Friday, inflicting a rare sixth straight defeat on the home team. While all eyes were on Vonn who was making her comeback following a three-week break, McKennis stole the show in one minute and 14.62 seconds.

ADELBODEN, Switzerland (Reuters) - A last-gasp mistake by arch-rival Marcel Hirscher handed American Ted Ligety his first victory in the Adelboden classic giant slalom on Saturday. Ligety clinched his 15th top spot in the discipline in a combined time of two minutes 28.67 seconds.
Cycling: Contador ready for "war" as Vuelta unveils punishing route
VIGO, Spain (Reuters) - Alberto Contador declared "it will be war" after he studied the route for this year's Vuelta a Espana race which will feature a record 11 summit finishes for a Grand Tour. Organizers unveiled the route on Saturday which will begin on August 24 in Galicia's rugged Rias Baixas regions. Riders will have to tackle a first category mountain-top finish as soon as stage two.
