NFL-Baltimore quarterback Flacco named Super bowl MVP

NEW ORLEANS, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco was named the Most Valuable Player in Sunday's 47th Super Bowl after leading his team to a 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

The 28-year-old Flacco threw three touchdown passes and no interceptions in a brilliant overall performance. It was the 27th time a quarterback had won the award. (Reporting by Julian Linden)
