The Los Angeles Clippers went from looking like they were on their way to an easy victory midway through the fourth quarter to having to hold off the Indiana Pacers down the stretch.
The Clippers' 17-point lead was trimmed to four in their 99-91 victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Thursday.
All-Star guard Chris Paul led the way with 29 points and eight assists for Los Angeles, which has won seven of its last eight games.
David West led the Pacers with 22 points and Paul George added 20. It was just the third loss in the past 12 games for Indiana.

Chicago Bulls 93, Philadelphia 76ers 82
Joakim Noah piled up 23 points, 21 rebounds and a career-high 11 blocked shots, leading the Bulls to a 93-82 victory over Philadelphia.
Fans at the United Center were tuned into Noah's numbers, letting out a loud cheer when he collected blocked shot No. 10 midway through the fourth quarter.
It was his third career triple-double. The 11 blocks tied a franchise record for a regulation game, set by Artis Gilmore in 1977.
Carlos Boozer added 21 points and 12 rebounds for Chicago, and Kirk Hinrich scored 15 points and Luol Deng 12. Guard Jrue Holiday led the 76ers with 22 points. Hawes collected 20 points and 15 rebounds. (Editing by Julian Linden)
