A Minute With: the director of a documentary about Journey singer

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - When veteran rock band Journey chose unknown Filipino singer Arnel Pineda to become their new frontman it inspired a filmmaker to capture his rise from obscurity in the streets of Manila to performing on arena stages. "Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey," directed by Filipino-American filmmaker Ramona Diaz, picks up Pineda's story soon after he was chosen to join Journey in 2007 after the group saw him on YouTube.

Valerie Harper, TV's Rhoda, has brain cancer: People

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Actress Valerie Harper best known as wise-cracking neighbor Rhoda Morgenstern on television's "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, People magazine reported on Wednesday. Doctors told Harper, 73, on January 15 that she had as little as three months left to live after a battery of tests revealed she has leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, according to People. The rare condition occurs when cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain.

First wine from Pitt and Jolie's French vineyard to hit Web

NICE, France (Reuters) - The first wine to be sold from a French vineyard owned by Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will go on offer this week to online buyers with a thirst for celebrity. The first 6,000 bottles of organic "Miraval Rosé 2012" will be sold on the Internet on Thursday for $140 a case including shipping to addresses in France.

Is it a princess? Britain's Kate hints at daughter

LONDON (Reuters) - The wife of Britain's Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, might have accidentally revealed the sex of her unborn child during a conversation with a well-wisher, hinting that the future monarch could be a girl. When presented with a white teddy bear on a trip to Grimsby in northern England, a woman in the crowd said Kate appeared to hint that she was expecting a daughter.

Henry Kissinger hospitalized in New York after fall at home

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was admitted to a New York hospital on Tuesday after a fall at his home and was expected to be released later in the day, New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center said in a statement. A hospital spokeswoman declined to give more details.

Paul McCartney's life focus of new comic book

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Singer Paul McCartney's decision to leave the Beatles and embark on a solo career is the subject of a new comic book that aims to give fans a new perspective on the breakup of the Fab Four, its publisher said on Tuesday. The 24-page "Paul McCartney: Carry that Weight" is the third comic book by U.S. publisher Bluewater Productions about the iconic British band, which spilt-up in 1970.
