RHP Yu Darvish picked up his ninth quality start in 13 outings this season with his start on Saturday. Darvish has thrown six innings or more in 10 straight games. He's allowed two or fewer earned runs in six of his 13 starts this season.

RHP Justin Grimm had his three-game win streak snapped in a 17-5 loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Grimm said he worked on keeping his body more compact and keeping his head straight through his delivery. "When I don't do that, that's when I leave balls up in the zone and down the middle. When I look back, it's been about two or three games where I've done this, but when you are competing, you aren't thinking about the process of your delivery."

LF Jeff Baker entered Saturday's game hitting .385 (15-39), with three doubles, six home runs and 10 RBIs against left-handed pitchers this season. Baker took Blue Jays starter, Mark Buehrle deep in the seventh for his eighth home run of the season, seven of which have now come against lefties.

DH Adrian Beltre, extended his hit streak to 13 games with a bloop single in the second on Saturday. It is the longest active streak in the American League and longest by a Ranger this season. Beltre entered Saturday hitting .420 during the streak.

RHP Ross Wolf pitched a career-high 6 2/3 innings on Saturday. Wolf allowed just one run while striking out one and walking one. "I was letting the ball do the work and keep it down," Wolf said. "Guys made plays behind me."
