LHP Tommy Milone is making his 15th start of the season Wednesday. He's 3-1 over his last six starts with a 3.49 ERA and a .233 opponents' batting average. Milone is 0-2 (2.50 ERA) in three career starts against Texas, all coming last year.

OF Yoenis Cespedes was back at DH for the fifth straight game Tuesday. Manager Bob Melvin said his legs still aren't 100 percent, though he wants to get Cespedes back in the outfield soon. Cespedes left a game June 11 against the Yankees with left hamstring soreness.

1B Brandon Moss has six home runs in his last 13 games. Oakland is 11-0 when Moss homers. Nine of his last 14 hits have gone for extra bases. He is 2-for-9 with two home runs against Rangers RHP Yu Darvish.

RHP Jarrod Parker won his fourth straight decision, improving to 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA (6 ER/28.1 IP) over four starts in June. He is 1-1 with a 3.21 ERA (5 ER/14.0 IP) in a pair of starts against the Rangers this season. Parker improved to 4-1 (11 ER/34.0 IP) in five career starts against the Rangers. His four career wins vs. Texas are the most against any opponent.

C John Jaso has reached base safely via hit or walk in a career-best and Oakland season-high 17 straight games. He is batting .345 (19-55) with 11 walks during that stretch. He hit first home run since his sixth game of the season on April 9 at the Los Angeles Angels.
