CF Peter Bourjos will go to the Angels spring training complex in Arizona next week to rehab his right wrist. Bourjos suffered a fracture in the wrist on June 29 when hit by a pitch from the Astros' Jordan Lyles. The Angels are hoping Bourjos can return soon after the All-Star break.

RHP Jerome Williams will start for the Angels on Saturday against the Red Sox. It comes on just two days' rest, as Williams lasted only 1 2/3 innings and 55 pitches Wednesday against the Cardinals. Williams is 0-1 with an 8.31 ERA in three career games (one start) vs. the Red Sox.

RF Josh Hamilton extended his hitting streak to 10 in a row with an infield single in the second inning Friday against the Red Sox. During the streak, Hamilton is hitting .382 (13-for-34).

LHP C.J. Wilson gave up three runs and 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings Friday against the Red Sox and got the loss. Only one of the runs he allowed was earned, as the Angels defense made two errors that led to two unearned runs. Wilson made 121 pitches, the second most he's made in a game this year (123 vs. Oakland on May 1).

RHP Tommy Hanson played catch Friday for the second time since he went on the disabled list with a strained right forearm. Hanson is eligible to come off the disabled list Saturday but likely will not be ready until after the All-Star break.
