RHP Zach McAllister will make his first minor league rehab start Saturday for Double-A Akron. McAllister has been on the disabled list since June 8 with a sprained right middle finger.

RHP Danny Salazar will make his major league debut Thursday vs. Toronto. Salazar was called up from Triple-A Columbus to make this spot start. In a combined 17 starts at Columbus and Double-A Akron, Salazar was 5-5 with a 3.08 ERA.

SS Asdrubal Cabrera's first inning single snapped his 0-for-20 streak. Cabrera was 2-for-4 in the game but is still hitting just .129 (4-for-31) this month.

RHP Justin Masterson threw a season-high 120 pitches in 6 2/3 innings Wednesday. Masterson took a two-hit shutout into the seventh inning but gave up two runs in the seventh in the Indians' 5-4 loss. "If I could have finished the seventh, it might have been a different game," he said.

LF Michael Brantley's game-tying two-out RBI single in the eighth inning was his seventh RBI in the first six games of the homestand. Brantley is hitting .391 with runners in scoring position, which is second in the AL behind Miguel Cabrera (.447).
