NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - If you never see Sir Paul McCartney live, don't blame him.

The 71-year-old singer-songwriter, one of the best people on the planet, has signed on for the iHeartRadio Music Festival next month in Las Vegas. That's in addition to his performance at the Outside Lands Festival last week, and his current "Out There" world tour, and last year's "On the Run" tour.

He may want to retire someday, and if he does, don't even complain. You've had plenty of chances.

The September 20-21 IHeartRadio festival is hosted by Ryan Seacrest and also features Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, J. Cole, Elton John, Muse, Tiësto, Chris Brown, Keith Urban, fun., Miguel, Bruno Mars, Phoenix, Zedd, Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Ke$ha, Drake, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Benny Benassi, plus Queen with Adam Lambert.

I know, you don't like a lot of those people. You can skip them. Or see McCartney solo.

When he leaves this life, hopefully in a really long time, people will talk about how obvious it was that McCartney was our greatest living songwriter. And you'll think, oh yeah, I probably should have checked him out. I probably would have told my grandkids about that.

Don't forget Willie Nelson, either.
