Keuchel defeated Toronto in his only start against the Blue Jays on July 27, allowing six runs on 10 hits with six strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings. Keuchel has held opponents to three runs or less in nine of his 16 starts this season.

C Jason Castro had his second two-home run game of the season on Saturday, with his last one coming May 25 against Oakland. Castro tied the Astros franchise record for homers by a catcher with 17, set by John Bateman in 1966. Castro has already set the Astros franchise record for doubles by a catcher with 32 this season.

LHP Erik Bedard was moved from the starting rotation to the bullpen for the remainder of the season, Houston manager Bo Porter said prior to Saturday's game. Bedard is 3-9 with a 4.48 ERA in 25 games, with 23 starts. "I was very surprised. I don't really know what to say," Bedard said about the move to the bullpen. Porter said the Astros will decide early next week who will take Bedard's spot in Houston's six-man rotation.
