RHP Jacob Turner will pitch at home against the Rockies on Sunday. For his career, Turner is 5-3 at home and 0-7 on the road.

RHP Jose Fernandez (10-5) beat the Rockies on Saturday night, allowing four hits, no walks and no runs in seven innings. He struck out eight. Fernandez, whose 2.30 ERA ranks third in the majors, also beat the Rockies 4-2 on July 23 in Denver. He is 7-0 at home.

C Rob Brantly, demoted recently to Triple-A, seems to be regressing badly. He is hitting just .163 with no RBI in 49 at-bats in Triple-A. In the majors this year, he hit .225 with one homer and 18 RBIs in 204 at-bats. He showed much more promise last year when he hit .290 in 100 big-league at-bats.

3B Colin Moran, the Marlins' first-round pick this year, is off to a good start in his pro career. In his first 34 games, he is hitting .294 with four homers and 21 RBI at low-Class A Greensboro. He turns 21 on Oct. 1.

3B Placido Polanco, who has been out since Aug. 16 because of a concussion, took infield practice on Saturday and is feeling better. He could be activated next week, but the Marlins are being understandably cautious in the wake of the concussion.

2B Derek Dietrich, who was a Marlins starter for two months earlier this season before being sent back down, is putting up similar numbers at Double-A when compared with his big-league stats. In Double-A, he is batting .249 with 11 doubles, three triples and nine homers in 201 at-
