TE Jeff King (knee) was placed on reserve/injured by the Cardinals Saturday.

RB Rashard Mendenhall has battled knee tendinitis in training camp but is expected to play in the season opener.

T Bradley Sowell was assigned on waivers from the Colts to Cardinals Sunday.

NT Ricky Lumpkin (shoulder) was placed on reserve/injured by the Cardinals Saturday.

LB Daryl Washington was placed on reserve/suspended by the Commissioner for four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

LB Daryl Washington begins his four-game suspension. He won't play until Oct. 6 against the Panthers. He will be allowed into the facility to work out and attend meetings.

TE Rob Housler (ankle) is questionable for the game. It's a high ankle sprain but Housler thinks he could possibly play. The team needs him because the other tight ends aren't receiving threats.

DT Alameda Ta'amu was assigned on waivers from the Steelers to the Cardinals Sunday.

RB Ryan Williams looked quick in his longest action of preseason last week. He broke tackles and scored on a 1-yard touchdown.
