RHP Neftali Feliz was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list on Sunday. Feliz is seeking his first appearance since a start against Houston on May 18, 2012 at Houston. Feliz had been on the disabled list all season after undergoing Tommy John ligament replacement in August of 2012. Feliz tossed 10 2/3 shutout innings over eight outings in injury rehabilitation assignments.

LHP Michael Kirkman was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list on Sunday. Kirkman has been on the disabled list since June 7 after a recurrence of cutaneous lymphoma. Kirkman was 0-2 with a 8.18 ERA in 25 relief appearances for the Rangers this season. Kirkman went 2-3 with a 6.98 ERA over six games (five starts) with Triple-A Round Rock on injury rehabilitation assignment.

OF Jim Adduci was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday. Adduci, 28, is making his major league debut after 10 seasons and 889 games in the minors. Adduci hit .298 in his first season with the Rangers' Triple-A affiliate with 24 doubles and 16 home runs.

C Robinson Chirinos was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday. Chirinos joins the big league club for the third time this season. Chirinos appeared in 10 games (seven starts) and hit .154 with two doubles.

OF Joe Benson was designated for assignment on Sunday. Benson was claimed by the Rangers on May 25 from the Twins and hit .215 in 86 games combined for the Twins' Triple-A affiliate, the Rangers' Double-A affiliate and in the Arizona League this season. Texas has 10 days to trade, release or outright Benson to the minor leagues.

RHP Cory Burns was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday. Burns is making his third stint of the season for Texas. Burns is 1-0 with a 1.64 ERA in nine relief outings and has not allowed a run over his last 7 1/3 innings, stretching over six appearances.

RHP Nick Tepesch was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list on Sunday. Tepesch had been on the disabled list since July 6 with right elbow inflammation. Tepesch was 4-6 with a 4.85 ERA in 16 starts this season in first year in the majors. Tepesch made two injury rehab starts, posting no record with a 1.50 ERA in six innings pitched.

DH Lance Berkman was reinstated from the 15-day disabled list on Sunday. Berkman had been on the disabled list since July 7 with hip inflammation. Berkman has hit .254 with six home runs and 34 RBIs in 68 games this season.

RHP Justin Miller was released by the Rangers on Sunday. Miller was 1-1 in 27 relief appearances for Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock in 2013. Miller has never appeared in the majors.

SS Elvis Andrus was held out of the lineup on Sunday due to continued back soreness. Andrus left Saturday's game and said, "I'm going to rush it as much as I can, but I want to be healthy out there. I haven't been 100 percent since the second day of the season but at least I've been 80 percent." Rangers manager Ron Washington said he doesn't expect Andrus will start on Monday, but should return to the lineup on Tuesday against Oakland.

LHP Derek Holland is scheduled to start the opener of a three-game set with Oakland on Monday. Holland is 7-1 with a 2.85 ERA in 14 road starts, and is unbeaten in his last 11. The left-hander is 1-0 in a pair of starts at Oakland this year, giving up four earned runs over 13 2/3 pitched.
