S Tyrann Mathieu played 39 snaps last Sunday and made an impact. He forced a fumble that stopped a touchdown, had five tackles and a pass defensed.

QB Carson Palmer because the first Cardinals quarterback to complete at least 65 percent of his passes and throw for at least 320 yards since Kurt Warner did it in 2009.

K Jay Feely is not in coach Bruce Arians' good graces. Feely missed a 50-yard field goal and had two poor kickoffs in week one. The Cardinals aren't looking for a replacement. Yet.

WR Larry Fitzgerald caught two touchdown passes in the first week. He had four all of last season. It's confirmation that Fitzgerald's poor production last season had everything to do with awful quarterback play, not a decline in his skills.

ILB Jasper Brinkley led the Cardinals with 10 tackles against the Rams and recovered a fumble by teammate Javier Arenas.

OL Nate Potter apparently has been moved to guard, at least for the time being. Potter was listed as the backup left tackle a week ago, but in the latest depth chart, Bradley Sowell is there. Potter is the backup left guard. He started working at guard last week, and it could be his position in the long term.

TE Rob Housler (ankle) is expected to miss a second consecutive game. The Cardinals hope he will be able to play in New Orleans next week. Jim Dray played well in his place last week.
