WR Ben Obomanu was released by the Jets on Tuesday. Obomanu appeared to be in line for more playing time when Stephen Hill and Santonio Holmes got hurt in the 38-13 loss to the Titans on Sunday, but Obomanu committed three penalties (one of which the Jets declined) in the defeat. It is the second time this season Obomanu has been released by the Jets, who cut him at the end of training camp on Aug. 31.
--CB Curtis Marsh was waived. He played in two games but only on special teams.
QB Peyton Manning maintained his pace of four touchdown passes per game with his performance against the Eagles and is the first player in NFL history with 16 touchdown passes in the first four games. He's also the first player since Milt Plum in 1960 to open his season by throwing 16 touchdown passes without an interception.
