Kansas City Chiefs - PlayerWatch

-- WR Dwayne Bowe has touchdown catches in two consecutive games, but that may be the highlight of his 2013 season. Bowe has yet to have a 100-yard receiving game; his best yardage game was against Buffalo with 67 yards. He's on a pace to finish with 61 catches for less than 700 yards.

-- OLB Tamba Hali was not a participant in the Chiefs practice on Wednesday because of the slightly sprained right ankle that he suffered in the San Diego game. However, Hali was able to participate in the team's walkthrough session and head coach Andy Reid appears confident that without any setbacks between Wednesday and Sunday, Hali should be on the field against Denver.

-- ILB Derrick Johnson has nine career interceptions and four of those have come when playing the Denver Broncos. Johnson returned those takeaways for 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He's also had 63 total tackles and 1.5 sacks in 13 games against Denver.

-- QB Alex Smith sports a 29-8-1 record as a starting quarterback over the last three seasons (2011-12 in San Francisco and 2013 in Kansas City). In those 38 games, Smith's team has lost back-to-back contests just once - that's the last two games for the Chiefs when they were beaten by Denver and San Diego.

-- RB Jamaal Charles has always enjoyed running the ball in December. Over his six-year career, he's played 17 games in the last month of the year and run for 1,439 yards on 243 carries and caught 39 passes for 336 yards. That works out to 104.4 offensive yards per game in December.

-- OLB Justin Houston did not participate in the Chiefs practice on Wednesday because of the dislocated right elbow that he suffered against San Diego on Sunday. Houston underwent an MRI exam late Wednesday morning as the swelling in his elbow had dropped enough to make pictures of the injury possible. There appears very little chance that Houston will be on the field against Denver.

-- RG Jon Asamoah was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice with the Chiefs because of a shoulder contusion that kept him out of Sunday's game against San Diego.

-- LG Jeff Allen participated in the Chiefs practice on Wednesday despite to the groin pull he suffered last Sunday against San Diego. Allen was able to finish the game, and he's been taking treatment all week for the injury.

-- RT Eric Fisher participated in the Chiefs practice on Wednesday after missing last Sunday's game against San Diego with a shoulder injury.
