KUALA LUMPUR, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian Prime Minister is to meet with Bruneian Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah for the Annual Leaders' Consultation between the two countries, Malaysian Foreign Ministry said Saturday.
During Najib's working visit to Brunei on Sunday, the two leaders will jointly open the Friendship Bridge linking Malaysia's Sarawak State and Temburong, Brunei. The completion of the bridge project which started in May 2012 marked another milestone in the bilateral relations between Malaysia and Brunei, the statement said.
Najib and the Bruneian Sultan are scheduled to have a meeting to discuss new bilateral cooperation initiatives and a wide range of regional and international issues of common concern, it added.
The Annual Leaders' Consultations between Bruneian Sultan and Malaysian Prime Minister are convened alternately between the two countries. Malaysia hosted the 16th Annual Consultation in Putrajaya in September 2012.
