Benin, Turkey vow to boost bilateral ties
ANKARA, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Turkey and Benin signed on Wednesday several agreements during the official visit by Benin President Thomas Boni Yayi to Turkish capital of Ankara, in a bid to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The visit of Benin president is expected to deepen cooperation between the two countries as part of Turkey's policy of " Partnership with Africa," a written statement on official website of Turkish presidency said.
Following a meeting between Turkish President Abdullah Gul and the Benin president, the two sides signed the agreements and protocols for cooperation on health, mutual substantiate on investments, cooperation between foreign ministries and visa exemption for diplomatic passport holders.
Yayi will depart for Istanbul to participate in business forum on Thursday.
