Indian stocks open higher
MUMBAI, July 7 (Xinhua) -- Indian stocks opened higher Monday with the BSE benchmark index Sensex opening at 26,047.44 points, 85.38 points or 0.33 percent up from the previous close of 25,962. 06 points.
The Sensex reached record high in the previous session on Friday due to upbeat mood of the business and industrial circles ahead of the presentation to Parliament of the first Budget for the 2014-15 financial year by the Modi government this week.
