Indian stocks close higher
MUMBAI, July 18 (Xinhua) -- India's stocks closed higher on Friday, led by shares of information technology companies.
The benchmark BSE Sensex closed 0.31 percent, or 80.40 points, higher at 25,641.56 points.
Since the beginning of this year, the Sensex has gained 20.73 percent, while foreign institutional investors have bought 11.40 billion U.S. dollars worth of stocks from local equity markets.
