SEOUL, April 4 (Yonhap) -- The presidential office on Thursday unveiled a poster designed to promote the new administration's vision and principles, including economic revival and people's happiness.
According to Cheong Wa Dae, the new government's administrative vision will be "A New Era of Hope," while the four major administrative principles will be economic revival, people's happiness, a flourishing culture and the building of a foundation for the peaceful reunification of South and North Korea.
These were chosen based on the administrative vision and goals set by President Park Geun-hye's transition team, the president's inaugural speech and opinions from various fields, Cheong Wa Dae said in a statement.
The poster, designed on a on a sky blue background, displays the words "A New Era of Hope" across the top in the same calligraphic font that was used to write the slogan for the presidential inauguration ceremony in late February, according to the statement.
This was done to highlight consistency in state affairs, it said.
A red and white twisted curve that cuts across the middle of the poster carries the meaning "light of hope" and symbolizes the "rising sun" as well as an upward movement toward a "bright and promising new era," it added.
Meanwhile, the colors red, blue and white were taken from the South Korean flag, with red symbolizing warmth and people's happiness, and blue and white symbolizing cleanliness and transparency.
The bottom half of the poster displays the four principles in bullet-point form.
The poster is scheduled to be put up at all government and public offices later this month.
