S. Korea offers emergency aid to India's flood-hit north

SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) -- South Korea is set to send emergency relief supplies worth US$100,000 to help victims in India's flood-hit north, the foreign ministry said Thursday.

More than 1,000 people have died since heavy rains and flash floods that ravaged the Indian state of Uttarakhand started in mid-June, according to the ministry's statement.
