SEOUL, July 5 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Electronics Co., the world's largest smartphone maker, has topped the list of companies that South Korean college students want to work at for the 10th straight year, a poll showed Friday.
Local college students cited excellent benefits and pride in working for the company as the reasons for selecting Samsung Electronics, according to the survey of 747 college students nationwide by on-line job portal Incruit.
The 2013 reasons were somewhat different from satisfactory pays and transparent and impartial reward system over the last three years.
Samsung has remained atop the list over the last 10 years since 2004, the on-line job portal said.
Amore Pacific Corp., South Korea's leading cosmetics manufacturer, ranked second on the list.
The rest of the top 10 companies where college students want to work was rounded out by the Korean Air Lines Co., NHN Corp., CJ Cheiljedang Corp., Korea Electric Power Corp., Hyundai Motor Co., Nexon Korea Corp., Kia Motors Co., Asiana Airlines Inc. and KB Kookmin Bank.
By industry, SK Energy Co. is the No. 1 company in the petrochemical sector that college students want to work at, with SK Telecom Co. ranking first in the information technology sector.
