SEOUL, Oct. 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korean singer Kim Jae-joong's latest single "Shiny Day" has topped the iTunes singles chart in Japan, his management agency said Wednesday.
The title track of the singer's upcoming first full-length solo album by the same name topped the Japanese iTunes singles chart on Tuesday, the day of its release, C-Jes Entertainment said.
The full album is set to hit shelves Oct. 29.
Kim, a member of the popular K-pop boy band JYJ, previously topped the same chart twice this year with "One Kiss" and "Only One." He also made it to the top of the country's iTunes album chart twice with "I," a solo mini-album, and "Y," a repackaged album.
"Shiny Day" is a rock ballad that tells of a man who longs for a lost love.
The pre-released song also topped iTunes singles charts in Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
