SEOUL, Nov. 1 (Yonhap) -- GM Korea Co., the local unit of U.S. automaker General Motors Co., said Friday that its sales inched up 1.6 percent in October from a year ago, helped by improved sales at home.
GM Korea sold 67,661 vehicles last month, compared with 66,629 units in the same month a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
For the first 10 months of this year, the carmaker sold 640,051 units, down 1.1 percent from the same period a year earlier.
In the local market, GM Korea sold 13,159 units in October, up 5.8 percent from a year ago, marking the highest monthly figure by the carmaker this year.
