Los Angeles, Feb 13 (EFE).- Lady Gaga has been forced to postpone four concerts in her Born This Way Ball tour because of acute joint pain arising from an injury, the singer said on her Web site.
The 26-year-old artist is suffering from synovitis, an inflammation of the joints.
"I am completely devastated and heartsick. I've been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night's performance I could not walk," Lady Gaga said in a statement.
The singer's Feb. 13-14 shows in Chicago will be rescheduled, along with a Feb. 16 concert in Detroit and a Feb. 17 performance in Hamilton, Ontario.
Gaga also shared the news with her 34 million Twitter followers, tweeting: "It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry."
Her Born This Way Ball tour kicked off last April in South Korea and has taken the singer all over the world with more than 100 performances so far.
