Interactive map charts global outbreak of disease

Calvin Lang'at, a nurse at Vihiga District Hospital in western Kenya, gives a shot containing the pneumococcal vaccine to Colleen Kafandika, six weeks old. The baby's mother, Thwaibh Jarega, looks on.

Council on Foreign Relations has put together an interactive map that charts the global out break of diseases. You can scroll into a region, check and uncheck different diseases, and watch how they spread. Each of the diseases is vaccine preventable.  You can also submit information for the map.
