Stacey Wilson Betts is suing Justin Beiber because she says his Belieber's were so loud at a concert that she lost her hearing. Betts is asking for $9.2 million in damages.
In the filing brought Wednesday, Betts alleges her hearing was damaged after she attended a July 2010 show with her daughter, the Huffington Post reported. Betts also claims she suffered tinnitus and hyperacusis -- ringing in the ears and hypersensitivity to sound.
The Hollywood Reporter obtained a copy of the lawsuit. It states that when Bieber entered a "heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola," fans grew into an out of control frenzy.
Bieber allegedly “created a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion." Betts added that the steel gondola acted as a "sound conductor creating a sound blast that permanently damaged both of my ears," TMZ reported.
Betts has named Bieber, experienced promoters, sound engineers and managers from Def Jam in the lawsuit claiming gross negligence as they are responsible for maintaining safe sound levels during concerts, MTV.com reported.
