Actress Amanda Bynes is breaking away from her squeaky-clean Nickelodeon image and hitting lots of things with her car, Los Angeles prosecutors say. Lawyers charged Bynes today for two alleged hit-and-run car crashes, the Los Angeles Times reported. The charges are related to crashes that occurred on April 10 and August 4. In the August crash, the driver claims that Bynes rear-ended her, stopped briefly, declared that no damage occurred and then sped off.

However, police disagreed with Bynes' alleged assessment and determined that she in fact had caused $800 worth of damage, according to the LA Times.

Bynes is scheduled to appear in court later this month, ABC News reported. The charges carry a maximum sentence of six months in jail, in addition to a possible $1,000 fine for each count.

This is Bynes' third charge related to driving this year. In April she was charged for driving under the influence after she allegedly struck a sheriff's car. She denied the allegations and then asked for help from the President of the United States. "Hey @BarackObama... I don't drink," she tweeted. "Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end."
