Kristen Stewart's former producer and friend has lashed out at media reports about the Twilight actress, claiming she did not sleep with father-of-two Rupert Sanders.
The New York Daily News reported Giovanni Agnelli, who directed the 22-year-old in "Welcome to the Rileys", tweeted: "I'll say right now what the manipulative media isn't saying ... Kristen Stewart did not have any type of sex with Rupert Sanders."
"The spin that keeps growing on this story is staggering," Agnelli continued.
"There was NO on-set affair. Stop printing LIES."
The Daily Mail reported that Agnelli also told his Twitter fans that he thought of Kristen as his "sister".
"If one of your friends in real life was hurting, and lots of people were being cruel. Wouldn't you ask them to please stop? Honestly?' he wrote.
Stewart admitted last week that she cheated on boyfriend Robert Pattinson after People magazine published steamy snaps of her in a passionate embrace with Rupert Sanders, who directed her in Snow White And The Huntsmen.
Pattison moved out of the Californian mansion they shared after the scandal broke, and Stewart followed soon after, but their whereabouts are unknown.
The New York Daily News said Agnelli hinted he knows where his friend is and that she's thankful to her fans for a "twitition" wishing her well and a YouTube video entitled "We believe in Kristen."
"Please don't ask how or where she is, or what she thought. Just know this: She saw the twitition, and the support video tonight. Thank you," he wrote on Twitter.
