What do you think?

Don Quixote will finally be getting his chance at Hollywood.

The classic novel by Miguel de Cervantes, the tale of a retired noble who sets out to revive chivalry, has been in movie limbo for a while. Director Terry Gilliam has long been planning a movie titled "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote," a troubled project that has failed to get off the ground.

But Johnny Depp, who had one foot in that project, has signed on to produce an as-yet-untitled Quixote film for Disney, written by Steve Pink and Jeff Morris, Deadline reported

Depp's production company, Infinitum Nihil, has also produced "Dark Shadows," "The Rum Diary," upcoming "The Lone Ranger," and Martin Scorsese’s "Hugo," Entertainment Weekly reported

Steve Pink, the director of "Accepted" and "Hot Tub Time Machine" and the co-writer of "Grosse Pointe Blank" and "High Fidelity" will co-write with screenwriter Jeff Morris, who also wrote “The Blues Brothers,” “Kelly’s Heroes,” and “Anger Management," according to the Examiner

No word yet on if Depp will play the infamous literary character. Fingers crossed?
