Los Angeles police are investigating death threats made against actress Ellen Page on Twitter.

The Washington Post reported one message "tweeted out via two accounts" threatened to kill Page if she continues to date actor Alexander Skarsgard.

According to ABC News, the tweet said "Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander [Skarsgard] I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year … Be it in a club, at a game, in a restaurant, or when you’re signing autographs.”

TMZ said a second message read "“I’m going to murder Ellen Page. She’s dead.”

Page, who starred in "Juno" and most recently in Woody Allen's "To Rome with Love," was photographed in June with the actor who stars in HBO’s “True Blood” the Post wrote.

TMZ said the LA Police Department has sent a search warrant to Twitter and that the tweets have been removed.

The entertainment site added that the LAPD said organizers of the LA Film Festival also received a phone from a caller who threatened to "kill Page" at the June 14 premiere of her latest film “To Rome with Love.”

Page did not go to the movie’s festival premiere, ABC News confirmed.
