Lady Gaga to world: Hey, did you just call me fat?

In a word, yes -- the pop star is under fire about her weight after a recent revealing (though aren't they all?) Amsterdam appearance. But she's not, ahem, taking this lightly.

Quite the contrary. She's launched a veritable campaign over the last several days by protesting on Twitterissuing an official statement on her Website, going public on her boyfriend's "curvier" taste, disseminating nearly nude photos of herself to (presumably) dismiss any doubts over her curvier hotness, and, last but not least, invoking America's own Goddess of Curve -- Marilyn Monroe.

In a message titled "Your Bravery," Lady Gaga thanked supportive fans and defended her size by saying "my boyfriend prefers me curvier, when i eat and am healthy and not so worried about my looks," according to this webshot of the statement from The Huffington Post

On Twitter, she nodded to a message from Monroe: “To all the girls that think you’re fat because you’re not a size zero, you’re the beautiful one, its society who’s ugly.”

But she's not just talking the talk -- she's walking a well-heeled walk with the Tuesday launch of a "Body Revolution 2013" on her LittleMonsters website.

"Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous," the 26-year-old wrote on the project's launch page, according to MTV

The initiative encourages participants to challenge societal standards of beauty by using social media. The singer explained that the idea came out of all the uproar over her weight gain, which she has blamed on -- Daddy. Yep. The Daily Mail has the scoop:

"The Paparazzi hitmaker recently revealed the reason behind her weight increase was down to her father's restaurant in New York. She said: 'I love eating pasta and I'm a New York Italian girl. That's why I have been staying out of New York. 'My father opened a restaurant. It's so amazing ... it's so freaking delicious, but I'm telling you I gain five pounds every time I go there. 'So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I'm like, 'I've got to go where I can drink green juice.''"
