Actress Lindsay Lohan was involved in another public spat early this morning, this time with her mother.

Police were called to the Long Island home of Dina Lohan following reports of a domestic dispute between mother and daughter, Reuters reported.

A police spokeswoman told Reuters the two women had been involved in a “verbal argument,” but no one was arrested and police left the scene shortly after arriving.

According to gossip website TMZ, Lindsay had been partying with her mother at a nightclub in New York City.

“We're told the fight started when Lindsay wanted to take her limo to her NYC hotel, but Dina wanted to take it to her home in Long Island, to avoid paying for a taxi,” TMZ reported, citing unnamed sources.

“Somehow Dina prevailed, over the intense protests of her daughter.”

New York Daily News reported that Lindsay “suffered a cut on her leg when a diamond bracelet was broke in the fight,” but police denied anyone had been injured.

The 26-year-old starlet has been involved in a number of public spats recently, the Associated Press reported.

Last month, Lindsay was allegedly assaulted by a man after she demanded he delete photos he had taken of her at the trendy 1 Oak club in Chelsea.

A week earlier she was arrested in New York after a pedestrian claimed she hit him and then drove off.
