Prince Harry of Wales not filing complaint over naked photos

St James's Palace said Prince Harry — third in line to the British throne — will not pursue a formal complaint with the press over the recent publication of photographs of him naked in Las Vegas, the BBC reported.

"It would not be prudent to pursue the matter further," the Palace told the BBC.

Reuters reported the Palace informed the Press Complaints Commission on Thursday and cited Harry's current deployment in Afghanistan.

"To pursue a complaint relating to his private life would not be appropriate at this time and would prove to be a distraction,"  the palace said in a statement cited by Reuters.

The Sun, a British tabloid, printed the photos despite legal warnings from the Royal family after they were printed in the US by gossip website TMZ.
