Rapper Lil Wayne said that 19 years in the business is enough and he's ready to retire. The 30-year-old rapper told MTV that his upcoming album 'Tha Carter V' will be his last.

"Because I know y'all want me around for a little bit, and Carter V is my last album," he said. "Man, I've been rappin' since I was 8 years old. I'm 30 now, man. That's a long time, man."

Fans shouldn't fear a world without Lil Wayne just yet because that album may be a long time coming. Tha Carter V has no release date and MTV pointed out that the rapper could slip in another album in before then.

The Cash Money Records star already has another LP, ‘I Am Not A Human Being II’ ready to hit shelves on February 19.

Lil Wayne first broke out as a solo artist at age 17 with the album, 'Tha Block Is Hot' but he had already been in the business since he was a child, rapping with groups Hot Boys and the B.G.'z.

”I signed my contract at 11, I went platinum at 14. I’m 30 now," he said. "Thank God I haven’t put out an album that hasn’t went platinum. To just keep it goin’ like that, I think not only am I being greedy, I’m fooling myself to think that it will continue to be that great.”

When asked what he'll do instead of recording new albums, Wayne brought up his love of skateboarding.

"I'd be a skater/sports analyst," Wayne told MTV. "My day job will probably be sports analyst, and I’ll skate all night instead of being in the studio all night."

Skateboard or not, Lil Wayne will still remain active in the music industry. Maboot reports that he is staying on as the acting CEO of Young Money Records, the record label, which represents stars Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Twist and Tyga.
