Sasha Obama made headlines on Monday after she... wait for it... yawned during her father's inaugural speech.

Social media networks were buzzing with reaction to the 11-year-old's yawn. Should she have covered her mouth? Should we really care this much? Is this really news?

Her dad, President Barack Obama, was talking about education policy when a camera caught the sleepy Sasha with her mouth wide open, UPI reported.

"No single person can train all the math and science teachers we’ll need to equip our children for the future, or build the roads and networks and research labs that will bring new jobs and businesses to our shores," Obama said as the cameras switched to the first family.

"Now, more than ever, we must do these things together, as one nation, and one people."

Now, what 11-year-old child wouldn't yawn during that.

A video of The Yawn was posted on YouTube. Check it out and let us know what you think.

She is 11 years old, for crying out loud. Most 11-year-olds had the day off - did not have to get up early and go to school. Those two kids (Malia and Sasha). always act in a nice manner. Whoever took this picture or posted this video is making much out of nothing at all. Hard enough to be a pre-teen; even harder in the public eye.

Rude, rude, rude, RUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!! You'd THINK they'd teach the little pickerninnny some manners if she's going to be seen internationally and of course by all the media. Covering your mouth when yawning is basic manners. So niiiiiiiiice for the boredom meter - then again she probably was doing what everyone else was doing - along with a big eye roll - lime MO - to the endless and pointless yacking by the yaks yesterday.

I don't know where you live, but in the USA your "picker" word is considered extremely offensive and racist. Just wanted to help out your ignorance problem.

cold as it was out there the child could not help but to yawn she is a chil, what else do we expect that is no news , talk about what is in store for us this year, and the problem we all are going to have, remember this year is just starting , hell I would yawn to

I think people are talking so much about it, because she forgot to cover her mouth... Those are the little things she MUST learn NOT to do, in order to avoid these kind of "news". :-(

I used to yawn during my father's university lectures - and I only had to listen to them thrice a week - and I was 19. Sasha's what? 11? I'd say an inaugural speech is good sleepy stuff for an 11 year old kid.
