More self-immolations as anniversary of Tunisian dictator's overthrow nears

The Tunisian uprising began when a fruit vendor set himself alight.

Four people have set themselves on fire in Tunisia over the past week, most of whom are protesting continued joblessness a year after the revolution

According to AP

A middle-aged woman died Wednesday after setting herself on fire in a Tunisian industrial city, said a local official.

Her suicide followed that of a father of three who set himself on fire in Gafsa Thursday and died five days later. Two others, in the towns of Bizerte and Siliana, survived.
