Another father has been busted for giving their underage child the role of designated driver.
Nathan Sikkenga, 31, was arrested in Florida Saturday night after his nine-year-old son crashed the family mini-van into a security gate of a Disney World-area resort, the New York Daily News reports. Sikkenga, from Gillette, Wyoming, then told state troopers that he and his wife were too intoxicated to driver and ordered their young son to drive, the Daily News reports.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to a call about a car crash at almost midnight, the Orlando Sentinel reports. Sikkenga was arrested on the charge of neglecting a child without great harm and released from jail on a $2,500 bond. No injuries were reported and it has not been reported if Sikkenga hired an attorney, the Miami Herald reports.
This incident comes just a few weeks after a Detroit-area man was arrested for letting his nine-year-old daughter get behind the wheel after he’d been drinking. Shawn Russell Weimer, 39, this wasn’t the first time he let his daughter drive either, the Daily News reports.
When pulled over, the daughter asked the officer, "What did you stop me for? I was driving good,” the Miami New Times reports.
